OTE Sports launches ‘Super Carbs’ energy drink

OTE Sports has launched a new innovation to its range, the Super Carbs high performance energy drink.

Designed and developed by the sports nutritionists at OTE Sports, Super Carbs is formulated with a dual energy source in the form of maltodextrin and fructose, capable of delivering up to 80g of carbohydrate per 500ml serving, the brand has said.

It is designed to be mixed with water and consumed like a regular energy drink, however when the drink hits the acidity of the stomach a gel is formed that allows transportation of the drink into the intestine where it is absorbed. Super Carbs is also formulated with electrolytes to help maintain hydration.

The energy drink has a lemon and lime flavour, is suitable for vegans and has no artificial colourings, flavourings or preservatives, the brand has said.

OTE Sports is bringing its naturally flavoured nutrition range to the London Bike Show, as well as Team GB athletes Alistair and Jonny Brownlee and Georgia Taylor-Brown. The show runs from today, 29th, to 31st March 2019.
