Sports hydration drink nuun has set its sights on boosting its UK presence with the imminent creation of a sales and distribution hub on these shores.
The firm is planning to increase service and support for existing UK and European customers – and enable growth for its product – a simple, easily portable tablet, designed to be dropped into water to create an electrolyte drink that recharges salts, is refreshing and more efficiently absorbed than water alone.
Nuun is sold in eleven countries and is stocked in nearly 3,000 stores in the US.
Nuun founder Tim Moxley is set to return to the UK to head up the operation. He will be joined by Chris Green who will handle sales and marketing. Moxley and Green previously worked together at Devon sports store No Sweat almost two decades ago.
Green has worked with a number of well-known brands, including Litespeed and Accelerade. According to the firm they will “boost dealer support plus develop a ‘nuun’ healthy lifestyle approach to help athletes, especially kids, to cut out the empty (and often hidden) calories in sports drinks.”
