Nocturne set to illuminate Blackpool

The Nocturne Series is coming to Blackpool at the start of August – the last instalment of the 2009 series.

The event organisers have revealed that some of Britain’s Olympians and organisers will be at the night-time bicycle racing event, with previous attendees including the likes of Chris Hoy, Mark Cavendish and David Millar.

Several stars from the continent, including those fresh from the Tour de France, are also hoped to attend.

Right To Play, the official charity for the event, will hand out programmes at the event and following successes at the Edinburgh and London Nocturne events is set to launch a new fundraising initiative. ‘Pedal Power the Change’ ride will be a six-day long ride between Edinburgh and London for charity. Mark Cavendish will start the ride in Edinburgh on August 18th.

The event takes place on August 1st. For more details head to the webpage here, or here.
