Germanys only tyre manufacturer has launched a bunch of new stuff for 2001

The Sport 1000 range now includes three new dual compound versions in yellow, red & blue (700×23 only), plus an all-black version. Also new will be an all-black 700×23 Grand Prix 3000 clincher.

This will also come in Tour de France team issue versions, namely the Farm Frites grey and terracotta and the Mercantone Uno lemon yellow tread with dark blue sidewall as used by Marco Pantani. A Bianchi Blue Grand Prix 3000 will also be available.

There are two additions to the MTB Basic range. These tyres are modelled on the higher spec Pro MTB range and now include a Vertical 2.3 and Double Fighter Basic. The tyres feature identical tread patterns to the Vertical ProTection and Double Fighter Pro tyres but are only £5.45 trade.

The Escape Pro (and Escape MTB range) has a rear specific 2.0" tyre to complement the already released Explorer Pro range, and features similar "Endless Edge" technology.

Other new stuff includes tubeless tyres for the Mavic UST system, Explorer MTB tyres in 16" and 20", Sprinter tubular colour options, and new stronger rim tapes and valve extenders.
