Mercedes Benz has linked with German manufacturer Rotwild to create a line of bikes, spanning children’s bikes, commuter, road, fitness, full suspension and more.
Having once previously produced bikes alongside AMP Research, the car giant is following in the footsteps of several others, such as Audi, that have this year revealed plans to create slightly more urban friendly vehicles. Ferrari and Jeep are just two others which currently have bicycle lines.
The Mercedes Formula One team are said to be using the 15 lb. carbon fiber road bike with an SRAM Red gearshift and brakes as part of their fitness training. Just 100 of this model have been made.
Rotwild has linked with Busch and Müller to rig up the city bike with a high-spec lighting system.
