Charity looking to top last years £45,000 plus figure

MDM announces ’09 London to Paris ride

Medicines du Monde is seeking cyclists to sign up to its funding drive in aid of those effected by natural disasters and those living in poverty.

Last year’s London to Paris ride – in which 44 riders took part – raised over £45,000.

Covering over 300 kilometres of hilly, stunning terrain, the 2009 ride sets off in London and finishes at MDM’s Paris offices.

One of last year’s participants, Helen Torry, said: “cycling early in the morning, through absolutely stunning French scenery – gorgeous yellow corn, lush green trees and blue sky was simply amazing. It was so peaceful and just pleasure to be cycling along and enjoying the fresh air."

Participants must pay a non-refundable £99 Registration Fee, then pledge to raise £1,000 in sponsorship funds.
