Firm produces patented chain catcher used by several Tour de France pro teams

Madison appointed K-Edge distributor

Madison has been appointed distributor for K-Edge – a manufacturer of trinkets such as chain catchers and bar mounts for GoPro cameras.

The firm started with the K-Edge Chain Catcher, a product for anyone who likes to keep their chain in place in all situations, and protect their frame from damage caused by a derailed chain. The unit was first used by Kristin Armstrong at the 2008 Olympic Games where she proceeded to scoop Gold. Since then, the catcher has been adopted by numerous pro cycling teams.

In a short period of time K-Edge has expanded its product range to include components for road, mountain, and cyclo-cross. Perhaps another highlight of the range comes in the form of the firm’s CNC machined 6061 T6 aluminium GoPro mounts. There are four GoPro mounts: a universal mount, a handlebar mount, a boom handlebar mount, and a saddle rail mount.

All K-EDGE products are made in the USA and come with a lifetime guarantee.

“We’re excited and honoured to be partnering with Madison. The UK has a wonderful cycling heritage and having our products represented by Madison and available to everyone in the UK is a huge step forward for K-Edge. Madison has an outstanding reputation; we’re thrilled to be part of their team,” said Joe Savola, marketing director and K-Edge co-founder

“We are delighted to add K-Edge to our portfolio and make this brand available to all dealers. The chain catcher is a great insurance policy for any road bike, and the GoPro mounts complement our GoPro business perfectly.” – Richard Peploe, brand director, Madison.
