Backed by British Cycling and IPC's Cycling Weekly magazine, the two-day Cycling 2003 show in February at Sandown Park is bundled with Triathlon 2003 and Running 2003.

London tri and road bike show aims to get newbies into cycle sport

Among the cycle stars at the public show will be two-times World Professional Pursuit Champion, Tony Doyle MBE. He will be one of the seminar speakers.

Cycling 2003 is said to be aimed at both the committed road cyclist and beginners "looking to introduce a new competitive edge to their fitness training."

Bikes to be shown to the UK public for the first time include the new 2003 Litespeed, Quintana Roo, Cervelo and Regal road bike ranges, plus the new Ridley Damocles.

On the first day of the show, the Surrey Cycle League is staging criterium racing around the Sandown racecourse’s support roads.

In August, when the new event was first announced, the show organiser told BikeBiz.co.uk that he would be happy with 5000 visitors.

Opening times:

Saturday, 8 February: 09.30 – 18.30

Sunday, 9 February: 09.30 – 16.30
