Boris Bike users given a reason to ride into stores with cunning promotions

London IBDs team up with Barclays Cycle Hire

BikeBiz has already reported on the fact Velorution has been offering half price helmets with Barclays as part of a promotion, but more independent retailers have started working with Barclays Cycle Hire to drive custom.

Bikeworks, Chamberlaine Cycles and Heales Cycles (and the London Cycling Campaign) have been working with the Barclays Bikes Rewards programme, where deals are being offered to members and casual users of the ‘Boris Bikes’ across London.

Users can check the Barclays Bikes Facebook page to view the latest offers and information on how to redeem the free discounts.

Barclays is also offering free ‘Bike Clinics’, or bicycle safety checks for cyclists visiting the O2 during the Barclays ATP World Tour Finals, which started on Monday – hence the pic of former British tennis numebr one Andrew Castle brandishing a huge tennis racquet. He could have someone’s eye out with that.
