Like-Bikes.co.uk has today announced an online ‘group buying’ scheme, for which retailers can submit their best price for a sought after product.
Unlike typical group-buys whereby a collection of individuals will collaborate together to negotiate a volume discount on a single item type, Like-Bikes is looking to allow its community to pool its requirements into one large order to maximise the firm’s overall purchasing power.
Beginning on a Monday of each week and running from 00:01 and the appeal will run until midnight the following Sunday. Each day the firm will aggregate orders from potential customers. This is followed by an email blast to subscribed bike shops calling on them to submit prices for requested product.Submissions here are made via sales@like-bikes.co.uk. Shops then have until 5pm to respond with their best prices.
Those end-users that select to proceed will be given a discount code with a validity period until Friday 5PM. After this time, the discount can be withdrawn by the retailer.
The service goes live from October 3rd and interested retailers are encouraged to email saels@like-bikes.co.uk to become involved.
