‘King of the Twitters’ Lance Armstrong has once again used the social media portal to connect with fellow riders by inviting them to take part in an impromptu ride in Adelaide, Australia.
Armstrong is currently in the country for the Tour Down Under and alerted the public to the off-the-cuff ride via Twitter.
His feed said: “OK Adelaide…9am Saturday. Wigley Reserve. Come one come all!”
But according to Australian news site heraldsun.com.au, the ride has prompted safety concerns. Unlike previous Twitter-led rides, Armstrong has given up to two days notice instead of a few hours.
The publication predicts up to 10,000 cyclists from the pro-cycling town could join the ride.
