Silverfish has a vacancy for a Warranty Service Technician to join our busy Warranty Department. Job Purpose To provide customers with technical and warranty support. Duties and Responsibilities Handling customer technical enquiries via telephone, email and ‘Livechat’ Processing customer warranty cases within the given timeframes using the company’s best practice for all brands Complete necessary admin for warranty cases to ensure financial reclaims are recorded and processed in full To process customer returns in a timely manner following the defined processes Preparing cycles (PDI) and components for sale, shows or demonstrations Repair or service our cycles and associated components such as hydraulic brakes, dropper seat posts, wheels and gear systems Skills & Experience The successful candidate will have wide-ranging workshop experience covering all disciplines. Sound working knowledge of current full suspension mountain bike technology is desirable. Possess good knowledge and experience of working with wheel systems such as DT Swiss, Easton, Mavic, Race Face and e13. They will also have a sound understanding of Shimano and SRAM gear systems. Essential: Good numeracy and literacy skills, capable of writing technical reports to retail customers, dealers and suppliers Proactive, innovative and able to work unsupervised A customer focus and good communication skills Quick to learn and adapt to new technical advances Ability to repair/service both hydraulic and pneumatic cycling equipment Organised and able to prioritise and manage own workload Willingness to work as part of a team IT literate – Outlook/Excel Desirable: Cytech Certified Wheel Building Qualification Experience in working with full suspension mountain bikes and major brands such as Shimano/SRAM/Mavic in a similar role Two years working in a similar role using modern technology Terms and Conditions 35.75 hours week - Monday to Friday Salary - Competitive Holiday entitlement is 22 days per annum rising to 27 days after 3 years The Company operates a pension scheme
