THE ROLE This exciting position will see you manage the newest addition to Giant’s network of own branded retail stores. The role requires a highly experienced individual with previous knowledge of the cycle industry, and possessing first class management expertise; including all aspects of daily store operations, staff planning, setting targets, and with customer satisfaction being at the core of all you do. This varied role requires excellent communication skills, and the ideal candidate must be able to deal with all queries that come with the territory of a bicycle store, including servicing, sizing, repairs, and helping customers to find their next cycling adventure. THE PERSON First impressions matter, and so the successful candidate will be a detail-conscious manager ensuring Giant’s reputation and drive for customer satisfaction is at the fore, as well as maintaining a well presented and visually appealing store at all times. You will have a proven track record of providing exceptional service; being level-headed and maintaining professionalism, understanding and managing your customers’ wants and needs, and striving for the best in-store experience you can offer every time. You will confidently be able to organise workloads and shift rotas, possess excellent organisation and administration skills, and will proactively look for ways to maximise profitability. The ability to mentor and encourage others, whilst moving seamlessly between tasks according to priority is a must. A passion for, and knowledge of all types of cycling are vital for this role.
