We are looking to recruit a two part-time workshop mechanics to join our exciting organisation. Nottingham Bikeworks is a not-for-profit community interest company. We were set up in 2013 in one of Nottingham’s most deprived inner-city areas. We think bikes are brilliant and we work to encourage and support more people to cycle more often. We recycle unwanted bikes and offer them for resale and teach people how to fix their own bikes through a program of classes, accredited courses and open workshops. We also believe bikes and cycling are fantastic tools for education, enablement and engagement and run an expanding range of innovative projects across the community, focusing especially on disadvantaged groups. We are looking for enthusiastic individuals with experience in delivering high standards of customer service and an in-depth knowledge of cycle servicing and repair to primarily support our customer workshop activities. However a flexible approach to work is required as the posts will often support our community activities which include group work, training and mobile Dr Bike sessions. Ideally you will have an industry recognised qualification, however training to level 2 will be available for the right candidate. Our retail outlet is open Monday to Saturday, we are flexible which days the successful candidate will be working however there is an expectation that they will join our Saturday rota. Occasional evening and Sunday working will be required to support events, classes and activities.
