JOB DESCRIPTION: National Accounts Administrator

LOCATION: Saddleback Limited, Yate, Bristol

RESPONSIBLE TO: Customer Service Manager 


Saddleback is the UK home of cycling’s leading performance brands including Castelli, ENVE, Troy Lee Designs, Stages and Sidi. The role of the National Account Administrator is to support the National Account Manager in the day-to-day running of our largest retail partners and provide a level of customer service synonymous with Saddleback. The ideal candidate will have excellent interpersonal skills, be good with numbers, have an excellent eye for detail and motivated to help nurture and grow these accounts.


The National Accounts Administrator is primarily responsible for managing the needs of Saddleback’s national accounts

1. National Accounts Administration:

  • Support the National Accounts Sales Manager with all administration requirements to maximise sales and service to include,
  • Producing and sharing key account backorder reports.
  • Placing orders for key accounts – Addition of Sales Orders, check pricing and inform where any changes, feedback stock position and related lead-times, releasing of Sales Orders, booking in delivery slot with accounts logistic department, administer the booking in processes and code updates.
  • Email stock position reports to key accounts.
  • Review Key account backorders and share reports.
  • Assist in the creation, maintenance and sharing of Key account Item Master templates.
  • Any other National accounts liaison as required by the National Accounts Manager.

2. Customer Services:

  • Answering customer queries by telephone and email and other channels, taking responsibility for particular work flows as instructed.
  • Taking responsibility to investigate issues to a satisfactory conclusion and communicating the result to the customer.
  • Liaising with our internal departments including the Brand team, the Warehouse and Merchandising teams to ensure that queries regarding deliveries and orders are resolved.
  • Ensure that the customer is advised on suitable product for their needs. Having, gaining and maintaining a broad cross portfolio product knowledge is key.
  • Providing excellent levels of customer service, to make each customer’s experience a positive one.
  • Ensuring a ‘fix first time’ approach is taken, resolving all issues as swiftly as possible and ensuring handover to colleagues as appropriate at end of working periods.

About You 

  • Proven experience in account management
  • Advanced Excel skills would be very useful along with a good knowledge of MS Office
  • Experience of working with a good ERP would also be advantageous
  • A love of road cycling and mountain biking would be greatly beneficial but not essential. 
  • Ability to produce exceptional work within tight time parameters. 
  • Excellent communication and people skills.
  • Confident in presenting strategies and influencing key decision-makers. 
  • Full clean driving license.
