Ison adds Apidura luggage

Ison Distribution has added bikepacking label Apidura to its stocks.

Prior to its collaboration with Ison, Apidura initially traded online to both dealers and consumers, but will now take advantage of the distributor’s market knowledge in the UK.

Patrick Joscelyne, Ison’s brand manager for Apidura, said: “This is great news for Ison Distribution as we distribute an excellent range of complimentary bikepacking products. From the initial conversation with Apidura we could see that there was an obvious fit and overlap with our existing line up of bikes from the likes of Surly, Sarma and Light Blue along with touring kit from Rohloff, SP Dyno and Cinq5. I am very pleased about this partnership and am looking forward to showing the products at Core (and London Bike Show) and putting them through their paces on our bikes and in our shops in 2015”.

Dealers can get a first look at the Apidura range in January at the Core Bike Show in Ison’s Hungaroring room.

Key products to look out for in 2015 will be:

• Saddle Packs – Designed to make full use of the space under the saddle, eliminating the need for a rear rack. With 3 different sizes available, the Saddle Packs offer a carrying capacity of 11 to 17 litres.
• Frame Packs – Available for both mountain and road bikes, Frame Packs provide a larger and more balanced load on multi-day adventures, when tackling steep climbs and technical trails and for every day riding and commuting.
• Top Tube Packs – Designed to add easy-access storage space for frequently used items (tools, cameras, snacks and so on).
• Handlebar Packs – Designed to make use of the space below the handlebars, eliminating the need for a front rack. With 2 different sizes available, the Handlebar Packs offer a carrying capacity of 9 to 20 litres.
