Interbike, owned by VNU Expositions, is staging the event with he National Bicycle Dealers Association (NBDA) and the Bicycle Product Suppliers Association (BPSA).
The NBDA is the trade organisation which owns Bicycle Retailer magazine.
Open to the trade only, Winterbike will kick off with the Demo Day at McDowell Mountain Regional Park on February 10th.
The park, located just outside of Phoenix, has hosted many cycling events, including the 24 Hours of Adrenalin and the former Cactus Cup.
Following the Demo, the event moves indoors to the upscale Pointe Hilton Squaw Peak Resort on the evening of February 10th, for the Winterbike Product Forum. Held in suite-style ‘casitas’, the Product Forum, said a statement from Interbike, "is designed to allow suppliers the chance to showcase their newest products and services in a personal, interactive setting with some of the top retailers and buyers."
The Winterbike Product Forum runs for two consecutive evenings, the first for media and VIPs after the Demo Day on February 10th from 8pm-10pm and then a reception and product preview for retailers and buyers following the first day of BLC seminars on February 11th from 5pm – 10 pm.
“Interbike has supported the Bicycle Leadership Conference for many years and we’ve always believed in the importance of the educational component of any industry gathering,” said Lance Camisasca, Interbike show director.
“Teaming up with the BLC to produce Winterbike was an easy decision for us. It creates a new and unique opportunity for manufacturers to have more face time with their key buyers.”
