Trade members that fancy their chances can race against Leigh Donovan at the US-set OutDoor Demo

Interbike challenges industry to beat former world champ

Interbike attendees will have the chance to take on former Downhill World and National Champion Leigh Donovan at the OutDoor Demo in Bootleg Canyon, NV.

It’s the first time the Bootleg Canyon Downhill Challenge has run at the Outdoor Demo and it’s all part of a focus to keep the event a key date for the global industry, according to the organisers.

"OutDoor Demo is the world’s largest two-day outdoor demo event, and we’re doing new and different things to keep it on top,” said Interbike MD Pat Hus. “Where else can you test all the latest bikes, try-out awesome new gear and accessories – and then try and beat a former World & National Champion?”

Donovan – also an Interbike account executive – added: "This is going to be a fun event and I’m stoked to be a part of it. I encourage anyone with DH skills to come on out and see if you can beat a 40-year old woman with a desk job.

Scott Sports, Oakley, Go-Pro, One Industries, Shimano, Strava, Troy Lee Designs, FOX, Sock Guy and more have signed up to sponsor the event and prizes will be on offer to participants.
