They were popular from the 1930s through to the 1950s but sidecars are now back: a Canadian company has launched a hi-tech, articulated aluminium version

INTERBIKE: A sidecar named desire

It’s a ‘right-hand drive’ sidecar that will come in a left-hand version, if there’s demand.

No firm price as yet but the Side Carrier is likely to cost about the same as a decent child trailer.

The benefits of the sidecar are said to include side-by-side conversations with the child saving the neck-twisting that occurs with child seats; the child has a forward view instead of looking at their parent’s bum and back (childseat) or legs and spinning back wheel (trailer).
