More product previews for the Madison house show taking place next week in Milton Keynes

iceBike 2013: Continental, DT Swiss, Nuun and SiS

Heading to Madison’s upcoming iceBike* show? The distributor has released another batch of product previews, this time featuring Continental, DT Swiss, Nuun and SiS.

*Missed the last updates? You can find them in the latest edition of BikeBiz magazine (pages six, 16 and 17) and here (for GoPro, women’s Giro range, Garmin Edge 810 and Genesis) and here (for Mule Bar, Chariot, Genesis Equlibrium 853 and Thule) and here (for Finish Line, GoPole, Profile Design and Saracen) and here (for Madison clothing, Cervelo, SiS and Saracen’s Kili Flyer).

iceBike* is set in Milton Keynes and taking place March 5th to 7th.

DT Swiss’ new 350 hub range will be on show for the first time in the UK at iceBike*. Madison said it has already had a good reaction to the hubs (including the ‘no tool’ service of the 240) on the B2B site. Alongside those dealers will also be able to see the latest addition to the rim range – Pin Joined Rims. Both 26-inch and 29er rims are covered, starting at SRP £19.99.

iceBike* will also see ‘live’ wheel building taking place on the DT Swiss stand throughout each day, where dealers will have chance to quiz the expert mechanic about any aspect of building or repairing wheels.

Endurance nutrition specialist Science in Sport, will display its full range of endurance nutrition products, including the popular GO and REGO lines at iceBike* 2013. The company, founded in 1992, have recently signed Sir Chris Hoy and Helen Jenkins as brand ambassadors, and are launching new product SiS REGO + Fruitflow to retail channels at iceBike*. It’s a brand new product and concept, which is set to change the way that athletes look at recovery, according to Madison. SiS REGO + Fruitflow, taken before the start of exercise, will help athletes reduce the over-stimulation of blood platelets during intense exercise. The gel helps reduce inflammation, which can then shorten recovery times.

Science in Sport’s Formulation Scientist, Farhana Rahman, will be on hand to talk through SiS’ latest innovations.

Continental will be in attendance at iceBike*, showing off the likes of the Atherton Racing-designed ‘Der Kaiser Projekt’ to the Grand tour tested Attack & Force Comp tube set. Continental will also showcase its MarginPlus range as well as the new tubeless ready sealant Revoseal, designed specifically to work with Continental’s MTB tyres with Protection Carcasses, but also works as a sealant with others systems and in tubes.

Two Brand reps will also be on hand to discuss the new additions to the range or any technical queries, with new POS systems and spot prizes for luck dealers.

The full nuun range – new to Madison – will be out on display at iceBike*. Portable nuun hydration tabs allow athletes, outdoor enthusiasts and other active types to easily and conveniently manage hydration, whenever and wherever they need it. It’s just about electrolytes for nuun – and not a source of sugar or carbs – meaning they can be managed with other brands’ bars, gels, bananas or brownies.

The ten year-plus brand has a variety of flavours which will be available to try at iceBike*. Representatives will be available to chat at the show about active hydration and the need for electrolytes.
