Its Thai royalty not the Windsor variety. HRH Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn is riding a Thai-made electric bike from Ecolux International, says Ed Benjamin, prime mover behind the US Electric Cycle Association.

Ecolux bikes are made from Thai and Chinese parts and are said to be one of the solutions to Thailands chronic pollution, fuelled by two stroke motor scooters.

Of course, e-bikes are more polluting than normal bikes, its just that the by-product emissions are located at power stations, far away from where the bikes are used.
