Hotlines is to host an exclusive launch event for current and prospective Lapierre dealers on August 14th to 15th.
With the brand offering its dealers strict territories, Hotlines has told BikeBiz that spaces are still available and that any interested shops should contact the distributor on sales@hotlines-uk.com, or via 0131 319 1444 to enquire about the attending the 2014 previews.
Bikes such as the Magny Cours wind tunnel tested Xelius EFI and 2014 Sensium will be seen for the first time, alongside a development with the firm’s ‘Ultimate’ online bike builder.
This A La Carte online programme allows you to custom spec your bike from the frame up. The system automatically calculates the weight and price of your chosen spec. Prospective customers can then arrange to have this bike delivered to their local dealer.
Brand new for 2014, Lapierre has unveiled the addition of three World War 2 style pin up girls that can be chosen as an add on spec for the forks of Ultimate series bikes. Beware though, Gilles Lapierre himself has input on the colour choices of the bikes and has not allowed certain combinations to be available, so as to prevent some very un French “fashion disasters”.
On the mountain bike front, dealers can expect to be introduced to the 2014 Zesty Trail and AM builds. Both the Zesty and Spicy models have undergone a complete geometry and wheel size revamp.
For the first time ever the Zesty has been split in to two distinct models. The 120mm travel Zesty Trail with 29” wheels and the 150mm travel Zesty AM with 650B wheels.
Lapierre’s revolutionary auto adaptive suspension system, Ei shock was unveiled in 2013. For 2014 Ei shock features on all top end Zesty and Spicy bikes and is available as an upgrade on select models in the range. This revolutionary system developed in conjunction with Rock Shox, Ghost and Hai Bike has been highly acclaimed by both the media and public to date.
The event will also show for the first time the 2014 Ghost and Nukeproof catalogues.
