Hotlines is able to offer Sun-Ringle products at highly competitive pricepoints because Sun-Ringle is now sourcing from China.
“We should have products at or very close to the Mavic equivalent models,” Toby Smith of Hotlines told bikebiz.co.uk.
“In fact, in their DH, Freeride and Slalom rims where they have some really strong products we will have products superior to their Mavic counterpart at about the same price point. We also have some really interesting new XC and DH products born from some of the new rim technologies developed by Sun.
“We spoke to a lot of dealers about the brand before getting involved and had initial talks with them in the US at Interbike last year but at that time even though the product and brand image were strong the lines were not price competitive enough for them to have an impact on the UK market. This year with the new pricing we anticipate a great response. Hotlines as ever will offer quality technical backup for the brand to make it easy for dealers to find the right rim product for them amongst the wide range that Sun-Ringle offer.”
There will also be a new range of Ringle Evolution components including new bars, stems and components.
The first limited shipment of Sun rims has just arrived at Hotlines.
“We now have a limited range of XC, Freeride and DH/Dirt MTB rims in stock,” said Smith, who also confirmed that Hotlines was the new Stendec distributor.
Stendec is the brainchild of suspension wunderkind Dave Garland. The range includes Crystal fork oil 5-30wt, Crystal shock oil 5wt, new DOT5.1 brake fluid and DOT5.1 Mineral oil.
Super-Glide Silicon spray, also new, is said to totally eliminate wiper seal stiction by coating stanchion tubes and shock shafts with a silicon glide coat.
Stendec also produce a range of high performance rear shock springs in chrome silicon steel, all shot peened, powder coated and pre-set accurate to within 3 percent of stated weight.
