Retailer speaks out on supply chain disruption rumours

Halfords: ‘we’ve got more bikes in store this year’

National retailer Halfords has responded to reports of a disrupted supply chain following the introduction of its new distribution centre last month.

The retailer has confirmed to BikeBiz that the rumours are well wide of the mark for its bicycle business.

The firm told us: "We’ve actually got more bikes in store in preparation for the Bank Holiday than we did for the same Bank Holiday last year.

"We’re got a big promotional campaign planned for the forthcoming Bank Holiday weekend and we’re confident that our customers will be really pleased with it."

Halfords also confirmed that bikes are not being distributed from its new centre in Coventry.
