Largest UK cycle retailer climbs up rankings

Halfords jumps up ‘Hot Shops’ list

Halfords rose to claim 39th place in the IMRG-Hitwise Hot Shops List of the top 50 UK e-retailers in August.

The listing is based on popularity (number of visits) of sites selling goods and services within the IMRG Index Classification.

Halfords was one of the biggest movers, climbing ten places. The national retailer has previously told BikeBiz that it is looking to grow its online offering, particularly with its Reserve and Collect service.

Other retailers in the list that sell bikes (among other goods) include Asda in 36th (with asda.co.uk) and 48th (with direct.asda.com). Meanwhile Amazon, which features a growing range of bikes, topped the list at number one.
