Sales of tow bar cycle carriers have ballooned says national cycle retailer Halfords.
Sales rose by a third in 2010, leading the firm to offer a four-bike tow bar solution to its customers.
According to Halfords, the Platform Towbar Cycle Carrier is amongst the first of its kind available in the UK, taking four bikes mounted on the rear of the car.
The Advanced version sports a swan neck tow bar, with a quick release system for easy fitting and removal of the carrier, folding up for easy storage and retailing at £249.99.
