Gruppo of Italy sign joint venture agreement with CSI-Jetox of Taiwan

Gruppo SpA of Milan owns the Columbus, Cinelli and 3T brands.

CSI-Jetox of Taichung has 35 years experience in the production of carbon fibre parts for golf clubs and ski poles.

The joint venture agreement involves Gruppo’s Taiwan-based Italian personnel moving into a new warehouse and branch office in Taichung.

Gruppo/CSI-Jetox staff will work on the development, design, testing and engineering of new composite bicycle components. Gruppo will remain responsible for sales.

Gruppo SpA president Antonio Colombo said: “In CSI-Jetox, we have a fine partner. They have an extremely good reputation and particularly reliable quality control standards. They have substantial production capacity and are prepared to invest and grow with us in the bicycle industry.

"We are sure we will write new and interesting pages in the history of composite bike materials.”

Gruppo brands are distributed in the UK by Chicken & Sons.
