Gruppo Media, the publishers of Rouleur magazine, has announced a partnership with MediaDrive that will see the digital advertising specialists take on inventory management for the recently revamped rouleur.cc website.
In the past few years Rouleur has hit many fresh milestones, including doubling its issue frequency from four to eight per year. Looking forward at digital strategies, the new and improved rouleur.cc website will now accommodate the 86 per cent of subscribers who own iPads.
Bruce Sandell, managing director at Gruppo Media commented: “The new version of rouleur.cc launched in November 2013, with a new and improved retail proposition for our customers. We also introduced content to the site for the first time – this is driven by brand new bespoke editorial, taking advantage of the immediacy of the website, and for Rouleur to comment on what is happening right now in the world of international bike racing. We are seeing significant growth in traffic and engagement, so this is a perfect time to start our partnership with Mediadrive Europe. We are very excited to be working with James and his team.”
James Hamilton, business director at Mediadrive Europe added: “To be working with Rouleur is a real feather in the cap for our growing cycling business. Bruce and myself have been discussing this strategic partnership for nearly 18 months, and a lot of this thinking has been around advertising placements and user experience. It’s a question of good taste and what works best for both the Rouleur consumer and brand. Ultimately, we think the opportunities that will be available to clients and supporters of Rouleur will produce premium brand-time that resonates with the users.”
According to surveys of its readership, 39 per cent of the magazine’s readers earn over £100,000 pa, with 86 per cent holding a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree.
MediaDrive’s clients within the cycling industry also include Bikmo and the Sweetspot Group, among others.
