Gocycle upgrades e-bike app with anti-theft and fitness gadgets

Karbon Kinetics, the firm behind electric bike label GoCycle, has announced an upgrade to the bike-connected mobile phone app.

The upgrade adds plenty of functionality, including a smart anti-theft feature that immediately disables the Gocycle’s motor and electronic shifting once a stolen unit is connected to the app.

Above and beyond new fitness functions, including odometer and calories-burned feedback, the version two app allows the rider to fine tune the amount of powered assistance they want and at what point it is delivered.

KKL’s CEO Paul Stratta commented: “At KKL we are focused on continually innovating our product portfolio, and providing the best experience for our customers. GocycleConnect is an important element to living with Gocycle in a personal and customized way, and we are thrilled to release this improved version. Whether you are after a ‘no-sweat’ commute, a leisurely cruise or a more demanding workout-style ride, the Gocycle Connect app has it dialled.”

The GocycleConnect app is available from iTunes and from Google Play, and connects a smart phone or tablet to the Gocycle G2 via the Bluetooth wireless technology, with a chip embedded in the frame.
