Publisher opens 45-day consultation period

Future UK jobs reportedly under threat

Sadly, reports are coming in stating jobs are at risk at publishing and media giant Future.

While Future’s long running video games site CVG has been specifically said to face closure, the company’s huge cycle portfolio of household names has not been linked to any cuts.

Future publishes Cycling Plus, Procycling, MBUK, What Mountain Bike, Triathlon Plus, TriRadar, Cyclingnews.com and BikeRadar.com.

However local paper Bath Chronicle has dramatically reported that ‘no job is safe’.

A 45-day consultation process began on Wednesday and in an email to staff Future boss Zillah Byng-Maddick said that Future’s business model was not ‘working hard enough’ and admitted ‘we need to change and fast.’
