Video focused website to make use of behind the scenes footage shot during the creation of magazine articles and much more

Future Publishing launches ChopMTB.com

Future Publishing has launched ChopMTB.com, a website with a ‘video first’ policy, to be run by James Costley-White.

Aside from behind the scenes videos shot at races and during the creation of magazine articles, the website is to feature technique and maintenance advice, product news and reviews and rider interviews.

The content team is headed by former BikeRadar.com operations editor James Costley-White. He said: “There is lots of adrenaline mountain biking content out there, and lots of places to find it, but ChopMTB.com’s singular personality, focus on quality and unique access makes it set to be the homepage for gravity riders and trail riders alike.”

While ChopMTB.com will have a heavy focus on adrenaline content, the target audience for the site is a lot broader, said Publisher Dave Clutterbuck.

“Through our annual BikeTrack research, we know there is a large audience for this sort of content from general trail riders. At the same time, nearly all survey respondents who classify themselves as ‘thrill-seeking mountain bikers’ also participate in trail riding.”

A global marketing campaign will commence this month across digital and traditional media to promote the site.
