At Eurobike the show halls are hot, there's only one road in and out, and you've got to book your accomodation a year in advance. But, thanks to a bit of arm-twisting from the OutDoor Show, the City of Friedrichshafen is to give the expo centre and its environs a much-needed makeover

Friedrichshafen to make infrastructure improvements

OutDoor, the trade-only show for the European montaineering and outdoor activities industry, has signed a new five-year contract with Messe Friedrichshafen. It had been wooed by the Munich showground, which already hosts the ISPO outdoor industry expo.

However, Friedrichshafen won the day, but only by promising to install air-conditioning, building new access roads, and constructing two business hotels close to the show ground.
