The rankings were derived from a combination of financial data and interviews with fund managers, analysts and entrepreneurs. Giant was the only bicycle sector business chosen, and was one of just nine companies from Taiwan to make the list.
After naming Giant Manufacturing one of the top 20 companies under $500 million sales in 2001, Forbes Magazine has included Giant in its "200 Best Under a Billion" list for 2002. Giant mixes with the likes of Easyjet, Ducati, Logitech and Four Seasons Hotels
