FMD causes New Forest hire centre to sell up

Mike Parker of Burley Bike Hire was “brought to the brink” by the two month loss of income thanks to the ban on cycling in the New Forest due to foot and mouth access restrictions.

Mark Kirtley said:

“We are delighted to seize this opportunity to further develop [our] long term strategy of securing key cycle centres in the New Forest area. The new location at Burley will provide a major opportunity to expand and combine cycle hire with quality retail facilities.”
