EUROBIKE 2010: Daahub promises to work with road, mountain and racing bikes

First look at Wisper’s electric bike conversion kit

This week saw Wisper provide the trade with a first chance to lay its hands on the Daahub – the firm’s brand new electric bike conversion kit.

Compatibility is a key feature ofthe easy-to-fit kit, which promises to fit a huge range of bikes, converting almost any type of bike – including road, mountain or racing cycle into an e-bike. Featuring two mounting positions, the Daahub fits a bike in around ten minutes and sports a higher capacity than many of its e-bike rivals, according to Wisper.

Designed by New Zealander Anthony Clyde, the Daahub was three years in the making and subjected to hard wear and tear off road as well as on.

Wisper’s 2011 bikes are also appearing at the show, and the firm told BikeBiz that it sees the younger market as a key area for growth in the electric bike sector.

The Wisper stand is set in the huge electric bike-focused Zeppelin hanger at the show, next to the e-bike test track. The Daahub will make its UK debut at Earls Court-set Cycle Show next month.
