Publisher incorporates MotoX to its publications line-up

Factory Media brings new mag on board

Extreme sports media owner Factory Media has acquired MotoX magazine.

Factory – publisher of Ride BMX, Dirt Mountainbike Magazine and digital brand – is incorporating MotoX with MOTO magazine to form a combined magazine carrying the MOTO branding.

MotoX editor will join Factory Media, continuing his role as editor under the editorial direction of Adam Duckworth.

“MOTO magazine has introduced a new excitement and invigorated the motocross scene over the past 12 months, and to bring the talents of MotoX on board is a natural progression,” said editorial director Adam Duckworth.

“I am delighted to have Ben as editor on this new project to truly integrate the best of MotoX and MOTO magazines to form the strongest motocross publication. Readers will benefit with a bigger, better motocross magazine featuring the scene’s best contributors.”

Editor Ben Johnson said: “I am excited to be joining MOTO at Factory Media, and would first like to assure existing MotoX readers that the new MOTO magazine will truly represent the best of what both titles brought to the motocross scene. This is an exciting start to the 2010 season, and we have a lot of plans and ideas that we can bring to the magazine with the backing of Factory Media and their online audience.”
