Thanks to an ACT initiative with Cycle Show organisers, Upper Street Events every specialist cycle retailer will be represented at the Earls Court show from October 7th to 10th.
The ACT stand will incorporate a ‘Find a Shop’ feature that will allow consumers visiting the show to find their local retailer where they can purchase the products they see, but can’t buy, at Cycle.
The shop search feature will be promoted throughout the event and visitors to the ACT stand will not only be able to find their local retailer, but find which brands they stock and services they offer.
ACT’s The Cycling Experts retail website re-launches at the Cycle Show, with all new design and functionality, built around a much improved ‘Find a Shop’ service.
If a consumer aims to find a Cytech Accredited retailer, who stocks Specialized, offers ‘ride it away’ cycle finance and has a cycle hire facility within five miles of their postcode, they’ll be able to do so with the new website function. But it will only find your store if you have input and maintained your data.
ActSmart manages the most extensive database of specialist cycle retailers throughout the UK and Ireland for ACT, but the data can only be as current as retailers provide.
Calling all cycle retailers
The basic listings are available to all specialist cycle retailers in the UK and Ireland, irrespective of your subscription level with ActSmart and these will form the basis of the ‘Find a Shop’ service. Extended promotional listings are free to ACT members and can be purchased by non-members.
Why keep listings up to date?
The ActSmart listings provide the basis of the ‘Find Your Local Retailer’ function for a growing number of websites, directories and now iPhone apps, with monthly visitation well in excess of 250,000 and growing fast.
The listings not only identifies your existence, but also allows retailers to promote the services they offer, the brands stocked and to explain what’s good and unique about the business.
How do you update them?
It’s easy and all available on–line. Simply visit ActSmart ‘Consumer Retail Promotion’ and follow the instructions. All you need to do is enrol as a free Bronze subscriber in order to maintain your listing.
Lots more to come…
Soon to be released – New developments will feature local job vacancies, enhanced Cytech skills, further retail specialisations and even an opportunity for consumers to ‘look into your shop’ from anywhere and see the bikes on display.
So as well as being ‘virtually’ at Cycle 2010, why not come along in person and ACT can explain how you can benefit from retail promotion, sales initiatives, Cytech skills development, cost savings and give you an insight into a number of new initiatives in development at stand C24.
