Staffers are now stocking the store in time for weekend opening

Evans Cycles heads south west to Plymouth

This weekend (Saturday November 30th) will see the launch of Evans Cycles’ 51st store, in Plymouth.

Local cycling clubs will be getting an exclusive preview of the store on Friday evening, with exclusive discounts and the chance to meet the staffers.

The store will have 150 bikes on the shop floor, featuring brands like Cannondale, Scott, Norco and BMC covering a range of sectors including mountain bikes, road, BMX, commuter and kids. The store will also be kitted out with a ‘huge range’ of clothing and accessories and a workshop staffed by qualified mechanics. Everything on offer at the Evans Cycles website is also available to collect in store free of charge.

At the official launch Father Christmas himself will be giving goodie bags to children, with older kids in line for High5 freebies and exclusive offers.

The new Evans store is opening in a competitive area for bike shops, with Cogs Bikes, Certini Bicycle Store, Halfords, and Rockets and Rascals, among others (hat tip to a comment on Evans’ Facebook page).

Store manager Chris has relocated to Plymouth from London. He said: “I have spent a fair amount of time in the city already; it is a fantastic city with some amazing riding in the surrounding areas. I spent my youth learning to ride mounting bikes in the peak district; I am now really looking forward to getting back to the countryside and exploring this beautiful part of the country.

“I am extremely excited about the new store. We’ve been busy with our opening plans and recruiting staff I can’t wait to get in the store and open it up to the public.”
