Evans Cycles opened its latest store at the Xscape Centre in November.
Xscape centre is an entertainment and retail complex, which features, in addition to the indoor ski slope, climbing walls, a cinema, bowling alley, bars and restaurants.
The Snow-X event will take place on Xscape’s 190m indoor ski slope, the UKÂ’s largest. Heats will involve four nutter cyclists going head to head around a short but "challenging" downhill course that will include three bermed corners and a huge gap jump.
Joining Peat, Beaumont and the others will be Dan Atherton (current 4-X national champion); Gee Atherton (current DH national points series champion); Nigel Page; Will Longden; Neil Donaugh and Martin Ogden.
The event winner will get £1000.
Ben Hart, Evans’ marketing co-ordinator said: “ItÂ’s going to be a spectacular event and weÂ’re expecting to attract a great crowd of cycling, snowboarding and action fans.
"After the race everyone will be able to compare lumps and bumps at party at Rockies Snow Bar.”
