Eurosport succeeds Channel 4 in mag deal

With 150 hours of coverage (including a nightly highlights programme to fill the gap left by Channel 4) and plenty of house ads promoting the title, the official Tour de France magazine to be produced in association with Eurosport, will be given plenty of exposure.

The deal was signed last week.

The Tour de France special will be produced by staff on Procycling magazine, which is published by Cabal Communications.

NB

The words cycling and television are not happy bedfellows at the moment. As well as losing the Channel 4 coverage, the avidly anticipated city centre televised cycle race series mooted by Alan Rushton of blah will now not go ahead. Rushton cites lack of headline sponsorship.
