International Forum Design of Hannover will be developing and organising the first Eurobike Award 2005 competition for the lakeside trade show in Friedrichshafen, September. The judges include Erik Zabel of Team T-Mobile, willy doc Professor Ingo Froböse and Shimano's Hans van Vliet

Eurobike design awards to be coordinated by iF

The awards are for "particularly innovative design, for products and accessories that reveal new directions in design."

The awards are open to non-exhibitors as well as exhibitors but the entry fees are more expensive for non-exhibitors.

"Entries should reflect a particular level of design quality and should not have been on the market for more than two years prior to the date of the trade fair. There is no limit to the number of entries per contestant."

Exibitors pay 100 Euros per product. Non-exhibitors pay 200 Euros per product.
