VELOBerlin will be a consumer bicycle show and will be staged at Messe Berlin, March 26-27, 2011

Eurobike backs new Berlin bike show

VELOBerlin is a co-production of Eurobike of Friedrichshafen and velo:konzept.

VELOBerlin is set to become the German cycling industry’s main public exhibition, generating consumer interest in bikes and cycling at the start of each new season, and with an emphasis on urban mobility,” said Klaus Wellmann, CEO of Messe Friedrichshafen, the town owners of Eurobike.

Ulrike Saade from velo:konzept said the show would focus on handmade and quality bikes; trends; and urban cycling.

He said: “These three categories will exhibit a comprehensive selection of the most interesting new products and thus offer the best orientation for consumers to make their purchasing decisions at the beginning of each season.”

“The two events complement each other and make sense,” said Eurobike project director Stefan Reisinger.

Saade added: “They won’t be competing with one another and are distinct in terms of location, season and concept.”
