Cyclefit of London is organising the International Cyclefit Symposium, to be staged 25-26th January at the Design Council Offices in Bow Street, Covent Garden.
This is a two day forum into the relationship between the human body and a bicycle. The symposium is targeted at bike fitting practitioners, coaches and trainers, bicycle frame and component manufacturers and athletes.
"ICS is a unique event and the only occasion where all the disparate branches of cycling science and the fitting community can come together for a collective learning experience," said Philip Cavell, director of Cyclefit.
The symposium costs £500 per person.
Due to give talks are eight bike fitting experts including Keith Bontrager, Alberto Fonte of Fi’zi:k, Phil Burt of Team Sky/British Cycling and Todd Carver of Retul.Topics to be covered will be the Myth of K.O.P.S, elite bike fitting, pelvic asymmetry and a other subjectsof importance to the understanding of how the human body interacts with a bicycle.
Late entries to the line up are gebioMized of Germany who will be showing their pressure assessment technology that can be applied to saddle design and footbeds.
Cavell said: "Uptake has been very good with the UK’s more forward looking bike retailers, bike distributors and bike fitting companies attending plus attendees travelling from the USA, Spain and Germany."
