Endura backs Tour of Ayrshire and Tour of Cambridgeshire events

Scottish aero clothing specialist Endura will sponsor UK closed road time trial qualifying events for the 2017 UCI Gran Fondo World Championships.

The closed road time trial events at the UK rounds of the UCI Gran Fondo World Series have received a boost from Scottish cycle clothing manufacturer Endura.

The Tour of Ayrshire and the Tour of Cambridgeshire Chronos will be backed by aero clothing specialists Endura who will supply prizes and bring a few famous faces to the event as well as offering advice and preparation tips in the run up to the events.

Both time trials are qualifying events for the 2017 UCI Gran Fondo World Championships being held in Albi, France between August 24th and the 27th 2017. The top 25 per cent of the starters in each age and gender classification will receive an invitation from the UCI to participate in Albi.

Endura brand manager Ian Young commented: “We’re very pleased to announce our partnership with Golazo Cycling to present the Endura Chrono and Endura Team Chrono at the Tours of Ayrshire and Cambridgeshire.

“These two outstanding events, as part of the UCI Gran Fondo World Series, represent the next step in mass participation cycling events in the UK and we’re excited to be producing time trial suits for Great Britain’s participants at the 2017 UCI Gran Fondo World Championships in Albi.

“We’ve been working in collaboration with Drag2Zero, the leading cycle-sport aerodynamicists, for several years and our time trial suits have notched up victories in major races and national championships with both Movistar Team and Cervélo Bigla, as well as two UCI Hour Records on the track.

“We’ll be producing an exclusive D2Z Encapsulator TT Suit for UCI Gran Fondo World Championships individual time trial qualifiers which we’ll be producing at our cutting edge facility in Scotland.”
