Enthusiasm, differentiation and size all matter to bike dealers, according to Edinburgh Bicycle Co-operative MD Jeremy Miles.
“Enthusiasm is important – the shop should have a buzz,” Miles told BikeBiz. “Differentiation is also an important area for every retailer – what is it that you offer that your competitor does not?”
Keeping an eye on the latest industry fashions is vital too according to the firm’s boss: “Staying abreast of market trends, or even helping create them is equally essential,” Miles added.
