Former venue for the Cycle Show to become 7,500 new homes

Earls Court demolition confirmed

Speculation as to the future of the Earls Court exhibition centres’ future was put to rest on Tuesday night, with demolition plans finally approved.

The decision was made by Royal Borough of Kensington & Chelsea, giving Capital & Counties Properties PLC (Capco) the green light to build more than 7,500 new homes on the site of the exhibition centre.

The demolition and new build, which is expected to take 20 years to complete, will bring with it significant investment in the area’s transport links, employment and training.
