Dott to further growth with e-bike launch and rollout into the Netherlands

Dott has announced plans to further its growth with the launch of a new e-bike and the appointment of a Netherlands general manager.

Dott will launch its new e-bike on 12th October in a milestone for the business as it expands its offer with new vehicles. Initially in Paris and followed by Rome, Brussels and London, a fleet of 10,000 will be available by the end of the year. Available through one app, Dott will offer its new e-bikes along with its e-scooters.

Sven Jaspers is also joining Dott to lead the company’s rollout into the Netherlands. Tasked with identifying key strategic Dutch cities, and working closely with partners and city authorities to implement Dott’s operation, Jaspers will build a team to bring Dott into the country which has been home to its HQ since launching in 2019.

Jaspers brings with him expertise in technology-driven and sustainable businesses. Most recently director of strategy and product development at Vattenfall InCharge, an electric vehicle charging provider where he has progressed through various management roles, leading teams throughout Europe to establish vehicle charging solutions in cities, workplaces, homes and on the go. Jaspers recently completed an executive MBA at the Quantic School for Business and Technology.

Maxim Romain, COO and co-founder, Dott said: “This autumn marks a new chapter for Dott, with the launch of our new e-bike offering a new way for people to travel sustainably in cities. Alongside this new fleet, we continue to expand in new markets, and look forward to offering our service in the Netherlands, home of Dott headquarters and all product developments!”

Jaspers added: “It is a great time to be joining Dott as they continue to grow. I look forward to working as part of this European leader in shared micro-mobility, and collaborating closely with Dutch cities to integrate our services in a responsible way.”
