Cycling Sports Group Asia Pacific created with Mario Stein appointed to guide firm

Dorel branches further into Asia Pacific

Dorel Industries has announced the creation of a Cycling Sports Group Asia Pacific division.

Mario Stein has been appointed to the role of vice president and is tasked with driving the business forwards in the territory, working closely with partners in Japan, Australia, Korea, New Zealand, China, Singapore, Thailand, Indonesia and India.

“The Asia Pacific region has been and will continue to be a critical geography for Dorel Recreational and Leisure,” said Robert Baird, President and CEO, Dorel Recreational and Leisure.

“This builds on our multi-faceted strategy to grow our bike business into a global force by leveraging our excellent portfolio of recognized brands and investing in leaders like Mario in their respective markets.”

Stein has been with Dorel since 2009 and has greatly developed the Japanese subsidiary, as well as reversed the declines the firm was reporting in the territory prior to his appointment.
