Christmas rush has kicked in and sales have rocketed again

Demand outstrips supply at Seventies

Despite ordering over 50 per cent more stock in anticipation of the Christmas BMX rush, Seventies distribution is once again calling on dealers to snap up the remaining stock quick, or lose out on "BMX-mas".

MD Stuart Dawkins told BikeBiz: "The second drop of Hoffmans is due in the second week of November. We’ve already sold out of one of the models and numbers are running low on several more, so we’re advising customers to order now, or get a pre-order in before the next drop.

"Kink being the earliest of our brands to arrive always sells first, but we’re in October and already sold out on several models with low numbers on the remaining completes. There are no more drops coming in for Kink, so basically if you want Kink for Christmas you need to order it now.

"Subrosa’s second drop of completes came in last week, but we saw more bikes leaving the building than came in with customers snapping up the remainder of the first drop and heavily ordering off the new shipment. We’re running low already with the third drop not in till the end of November. Subrosa have mixed it up this year with new, previously unavailable, colours arriving on the third drop. Again if you want Subrosa grab it now, while it’s in stock, or pre-order for the next drop, because demand outstripped supply on several models on the last drop and several customers were left disappointed having acted too late."
