Sussex retailer comes top at the iceBike*-set battle

D&D Cycles wins Bobike Speed Fitting Championships

Many thought they were up to the Bobike speed challenge at iceBike*, but in the end there could only be one champion – Sussex-based D&D Cycles.

Fitting and mounting a rear Bobike seat to a pannier rack in a speedy 26 seconds, David of D&D Cycles edged to victory ahead of Stephane of Onitsports (31 seconds) and Simon of Colin Lewis Cycles (32 seconds).

The Bobike UK Speed fitting championships took place at iceBike* for the first time in March. The competition was designed to demonstrate the ease and speed of fitting Bobike child seats – something amply exhibited by D&D Cycles.

Although 26 seconds was the fastest time of the weekend and saw D&D named UK champion for 2013, the UK retail sector is trailing our European cousins – at Eurobike 2012 the feat was performed in a mere 18 seconds.

Day 1 – Stephane, Onitsports 31 seconds
Day 2 – Simon, Colin Lewis cycles 32 Seconds
Day 3 – David, D&D Cycles 26 seconds – 2013 UK Champion

The winners will all be receiving some complementary Bobike exclusive child seats for their shops.

Bobike is now distributed exclusively in the UK by Madison.
